About Me

BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy : 1st Class Honours
(MCSP, HCPC Registered)
Certified Comprehensive Pilates Practitioner
(Polestar Pilates)

I'm a Mum, Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor and love the balance each of these gives me!
I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2008 with 1st Class Honours. I worked for 8 years at a large acute teaching hospital gaining valuable experience in a wide variety of disciplines, then a further 6 years specialising in respiratory care. After practicing Pilates for a number of years and experiencing first hand the huge benefits to both body and mind, I completed my training in 2019 to become an instructor with Polestar Pilates, and initially taught alongside my respiratory work. I soon realised that Pilates was based on the foundation that everything in the body is connected, and found that using a holistic approach, addressing the body as a whole rather than isolated muscles or joints lead to long standing results. I have now transitioned to working exclusively with Pilates and now offer Physio led clinical Pilates at my home studio, as well as group classes at local studios. I am trained on all of the apparatus including Reformer, Trapeze Table, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector and Mat. I love using the equipment to support my clients to find their best alignment, and to leave a session feeling more balanced, calm yet energised! My goal is to empower my clients to discover their own movement potential, which can benefit them in all aspects of their daily life. In my spare time I try to enjoy the great outdoors as much as possible, and especially enjoy campervan adventures with my husband and son.
